Emles Advisors LLC (“Emles” or “Adviser”) was founded in 2018 by Gabriel Hammond, who serves as the Chief Executive Officer. Emles is a Delaware limited liability company and has been an investment advisor registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) since July 23, 2020.

As mentioned, Emles was founded by Gabriel Hammond, who over his 20-year career, has developed a track record of sourcing and creating new asset classes that previously had limited or no investor access. After graduating from Johns Hopkins University in 2001, Gabriel joined Goldman Sachs & Co. in the Energy & Power Group. In 2004, he left Goldman and founded SteelPath, an investment firm that focused exclusively on energy infrastructure, and Alerian, a leading energy infrastructure data and analytics company. In 2005, Alerian created and launched the first real-time index of master limited partnerships (“MLPs”). After concerns of bankruptcy during the peak of the financial crisis, the firm propelled in the years following; collecting more than $30 billion in combined assets and continuing to push the boundaries of the asset management industry. In 2010, SteelPath launched the first MLP mutual fund and Alerian launched the first MLP ETF. Gabriel sold SteelPath and its mutual funds family to OppenheimerFunds, Inc. in 2012, but remained a portfolio manager until 2014, and he sold Alerian in 2018.

In 2018, Gabriel founded Emles, where he serves as the Chief Executive Officer. While Emles may be new to the ETF game, we aren't new to our mission. Following a similar path of innovation, Emles is putting in the work to uncover unique investment opportunities and incubate new, innovative asset classes. We aim to source untapped opportunities to help solve the unique challenges of today's markets, while seeking to maximize access, liquidity and transparency for all investors.
